Features

Built for chat at full speed.

Everything you follow, together and readable.

Your chat, every tab

Open a stream and its chat appears beside it. Each tab remembers its own—or pin one in place.

Three chats, one place

Keep chats side by side, or merge every platform into one clearly labelled feed.

Actions on every message

Reply, mention, copy or moderate without leaving chat—on Twitch and Kick.

A busy chat you can read

Fold reaction waves. Hide bots, commands or noisy users.

Every emote, everywhere

Twitch, Kick, 7TV, BTTV and FFZ emotes—with zero-width stacks, favourites and : autocomplete.

Know who's in your chat

Previous names, notes, moderation history and searchable logs—in one click.

Every mention, one inbox

Your name in any open chat lands here, and a sub gifted to you, with a notification if you like.

Follow any thread

Click a reply to see the whole thread, answer it right there, or pin it open. Answered messages show how many replies they got.

FAQ

Chat, is this real?

Is it free?

Yes. No ads, no premium tier, no Yapp Chat account. Just the duck.

Is it open source?

Yes, MIT licensed. The code is on GitHub: read it, report bugs or send a pull request.

Which browsers does it work in?

Chrome and Brave. It uses the browser's side panel, so other Chromium browsers with one should work too.

Will there be a mobile app?

Depending on demand, yes. Android would come first: an early version already runs. Want it? Tell us in Discord.

Do I need to sign in?

Not to read. To send messages or use mod tools, sign in to Twitch or Kick in one click. It's saved only on your device.

Can I write in YouTube chat?

Yes: Write on YouTube opens the stream's own chat in a small window, signed in as you. Super Chats, memberships and viewers show in Yapp Chat.

Where do the chat logs come from?

Public Twitch log servers (logs.ivr.fi, logs.spanix.team, logs.susgee.dev); Yapp Chat uses whichever has the most. Anyone can opt out there, and you can turn logs off.

Could it stop working?

Twitch chat and sending on Kick use official APIs. YouTube and reading Kick work like their own websites, so a change there can break them until an update fixes it.

Are you Twitch, Kick or YouTube?

Nope. Yapp Chat is an independent extension, not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
